Jeremy Simpson

Owner | Simpson Roofing

Since he was 16, Jeremy Simpson has been immersed in his adopted family’s roofing business, which began with his grandfather in 1922, continued with his father and uncle, and lives on today through his resilience and strong work ethic.  A co-owner of R&J Simpson Roofing from 1998 to 2009, he has served as the owner, operator, and overall leader of Simpson Roofing—a New Jersey-based business that specializes in residential renovations, detailed commercial projects, specialty and custom roofing, and property maintenance within the New York metropolitan area—since 2010.

Carrying on the success of the company, whose proud slogan is “Family Built. Jersey Strong.”, has come with its fair share of challenges in the past decade. Under his leadership, marked by an unwavering voice, consistency, and an active presence, the business has withstood economic crises and most recently navigated through the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining operations and upholding its reputation.

Originally from Colombia, Mr. Simpson’s journey to the United States and into a blue-collar Polish-Irish-American family has given him a unique perspective, especially in effectively bridging the gap between the Hispanic and Latin labor force and business leaders. He has been able to connect his employees to opportunities for learning trades and becoming salespeople, project managers, and even business owners themselves—having an extremely positive impact on many.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Simpson strives to expand the business from a smaller, boutique-style operation to a larger-scale, more robust company. He wants to create a business that can accommodate growth, provide valuable learning experiences, and impart essential business skills to young people. Outside of his primary endeavors, he serves as a member of the American Builders and Contractors Association, sponsors local charities, and enjoys restoring cars and playing golf. With his wife, Stephanie, he has three children and two stepchildren.
